Strategic Actions

• Avoid locating operations or facilities in globally or nationally designated biodiversity-sensitive hotspots to prevent negative impacts on protected forests and species.

• In cases where mergers, acquisitions, or other uncontrollable business activities result in operations being located in biodiversity-sensitive hotspots, conduct comprehensive biodiversity risk assessments and monitoring. Develop and implement mitigation and offset measures to achieve No Net Loss.

• Continuously enhance resource efficiency and recycling, strengthen pollution prevention measures, and mitigate the negative ecological impacts of operations.

• Practice responsible procurement of wood-related products used in operations, such as sourcing FSC-certified products.

• Require suppliers to adhere to biodiversity protection and no deforestation principles, incorporating these requirements into the Supplier Code of Conduct.

• Support the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity and other significant domestic and international initiatives, staying informed about biodiversity developments and planning long-term strategies.
